Since 1984.
Bynolyt was founded in the 1980s by Jan Wayper, then an optical importer. When foreign brands no longer met demand, the idea for a dedicated Dutch brand emerged. In collaboration with Japanese partners, we developed our first binoculars—and successfully so.
We design and test all our models with an eye for detail, robustness, and ease of use—so you can always see clearly, under any circumstances. From the very first design to the last screw, we're all about quality you can feel and see.
Outside as inspiration
Our breakthrough came with a compact outdoor line, developed specifically for Bever. Together, we developed a revolutionary line of lightweight and compact binoculars, specifically for outdoor use.
Since then, we've become the go-to brand for everyone who loves the outdoors: from avid birdwatchers to nature lovers. Organizations like the Dutch Bird Protection Society, watersports shops, and nature conservation organizations both at home and abroad also use our binoculars.
Worldwide network, Dutch origin
To this day, our binoculars are produced in close collaboration with partners in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea, often for decades. This allows us to serve the entire market—from entry-level to high-end optics—without compromising quality or reliability.
Responsible entrepreneurship and nature
Bynolyt is located in the heart of nature, and we take responsibility for that. We contribute structurally to nature conservation through collaborations with the Dutch Bird Protection Society, Sovon, and numerous other organizations—and through donations and sponsorship of projects in Africa, where we support rangers with binoculars and telescopes.
